President Herzog to honor 6 heroes of flydubai flight with Israel’s highest civilian heroism award
President Isaac Herzog will present the Presidential Award for Civilian Heroism to six people who were aboard the Sept. 30 flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv, during a ceremony at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem on Thursday, Oct. 8.
The award will be presented to Tali Manes, Zvika Manes, Yaniv Hayoun, Dr. Shota Musayev, Asaf Rajuan and Or Pardilov.
The Presidential Award for Civilian Heroism is Israel’s highest civilian award for heroism and recognizes individuals who acted with exceptional courage while risking their own lives to save others.
Herzog established the award following the Oct. 7, 2023, attacks. Recipients are selected following a review of each case and a recommendation by an advisory committee appointed by the president.
