Israel's Finance Ministry surprised by Trump's announcement to end $4 billion aid package
Israel's Finance Ministry was not expecting U.S. President Donald J. Trump to announce his intention to end aid to Israel according to Ynet News.
It is reported that the ministry understood Trump would end the MOU but only at the end of 2028. Trump said he and PM Netanyhu discussed ending Israel's dependance on the U.S. "a few months ago," and now the U.S. president is implementing that deal.
