Israel Police arrests eight Jewish rioters after arson, assault incidents in southern Hebron
After a series of arson and assault incidents that occurred in the southern Hebron Hills, eight suspects were arrested in Judea overnight, Israel Police reported.
The suspects, residents of Judea and Samaria and central Israel, aged 16-20, were transferred for investigation, at the conclusion of which the police intend to bring them before the court and request an extension of their detention. Three vehicles allegedly used in the attacks were also seized. The investigation is ongoing.
The wave of arrests were made by order of Judea and Samaria District Commander Maj. Gen. Moshe Finchi, detaining suspects in connection with an incident in the village of At-Tuwani, where a vehicle was set on fire, a mosque was damaged and graffiti was sprayed, as well as a separate incident in the village of Tuba, where Jewish rioters torched buildings, sprayed graffiti and injured Palestinians.
