Israel demands apology after Belgian aid worker killed in Gaza exposed as Hamas fighter

The Israeli Embassy in Belgium has demanded an apology from its host country, after evidence showed that a Belgian aid worker killed in an IDF strike in Gaza was, in fact, a Hamas operative.

Abdallah Nabhan, an employee of Belgium’s development agency Enabel, was killed in an IDF strike in April 2024, during fighting in the Gaza Strip.

At the time, Belgium summoned the Israeli ambassador, castigating the Jewish State over the death.

However, Hamas recently published a death notice, identifying Nabhan as a fighter in the terror organization’s Khan Younis Brigade, calling him a “mujahid” (fighter) and a “martyr.”
