Iran: Strait of Hormuz passage requires payment of war reparations
Hassan Qashqavi, spokesman for the Iranian parliament’s National Security Committee, said passage through the Strait of Hormuz would be conditional on the payment of war reparations.
He said Article 7 of Iran’s “Smart Management of the Strait of Hormuz” law requires all countries, organizations and individuals that caused damage to Iran during the war to reach an agreement with the Iranian government on a mechanism for paying compensation.
