Netanyahu summons police chief for election preparations briefing

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu summoned Israel Police Commissioner Danny Levy on Sunday morning for a discussion on police preparations for the upcoming elections.
The unusual meeting follows a Shin Bet announcement that it would provide security protection for Gadi Eisenkot, Yair Golan and Ofer Winter.
The meeting is considered unusual because, this close to Election Day, responsibility for overseeing election-related matters rests with the chairman of the Central Elections Committee.
