High Court says IDF must give timetable for return of Palestinians to homes evacuated during Operation Iron Wall
The High Court of Justice ruled that the IDF must provide a timetable for the return of residents of the Jenin, Tulkarm and Nour al Shams refugee camps to their homes.
The IDF launched Operation Iron Wall, a counter-terrorism operation in Judea and Samaria, in January 2025.
During that operation, the military ordered many Palestinians to leave their homes in the refugee camps, to allow the IDF freedom of operation.
Justices Yitzhak Amit, Alex Stein and Khaled Kabub noted that “the security circumstances that allow the return of residents to the refugee camps still do not exist. At the same time, a series of steps must be advanced that will make this possible, and among other things, to advance a timetable.”
