Israeli President Herzog: ‘Netanyahu’s trial needs to end; I offered mediation but PM has yet to respond’
President Isaac Herzog addressed Israel’s upcoming elections in an interview with Kan News, saying that if a political situation arises requiring his intervention, he “will not sit on the sidelines.”
On Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s trial, Herzog said: “It needs to end. I offered to mediate, but the prime minister has yet to respond.”
Addressing the controversy surrounding the film “NZA,” Herzog called it “a disgrace.”
