opinion Why every American should fear an El-Sayed win
As a loyal Democrat, Abdul El-Sayed’s former rival, Haley Stevens wanted to throw in her support, and endorse the man who beat her in the Michigan primary. Only one thing stood in her way, and that was her affection for the State of Israel.
Strongly identifying as a Zionist, Stevens went so far as to say that "anti-Zionism is a hate movement," defending Israel as "people in their homeland trying to live.”
Once, at a Chanukah event, she even said, “Israel comes to me in my dreams" and knows it will continue to exist for the Jewish people.”
Undoubtedly, such positions were highly problematic for El-Sayed who recently said in an interview that the U.S. should “realize that Israel is not actually our friend,” and has pushed the U.S. into conflicts and misuses American support.”
Eventually, the vast gap between the two Democrats became too hard to fill when one of them categorically denied a genocide in Gaza, backed Israeli military aid and the other spoke contemptuously about the same country.
Once El-Sayed realized he wasn’t likely to get Stevens’ endorsement, he warned his former opponent to stay away from his campaign events in its final days.
That’s when Stevens decided to endorse Mike Rogers, El-Sayed’s rival candidate, the same man her fiancé had already decided to back.
This whole scenario could be categorized as a preview of what it would be like to elect a staunch, Israel-hating, devout Muslim candidate to the American Senate. El-Sayed’s inability to yield any ground, on Israel, pushed Stevens away, as she came to the realization that the divide was just too great between them.
In the end, El-Sayed chose to remain loyal to both his pro-Palestinian Muslim audience as well as the Woke contingency, both of whom happily applaud his anti-Israel stance.
Nowadays, being against the Jewish state is a pre-requisite in order to prove that you are a member in good standing to those who added the word, “Socialist” to the Democratic title. In fact, it’s become an obligatory sentiment, bestowing upon its holders, the badge of worthiness, connecting them to the “cool kids.”
But what is the likely result of a senator who willingly alienates himself from one of America’s top allies, a country that shares the same values, goals and common belief that radical Islam poses the greatest threat to the well-being of the entire world?
According to an article in The Guardian, “Senators can introduce or vote for resolutions to block, delay, or place human rights and policy conditions on Foreign Military Financing (FMF) or specific arms sales (such as precision-guided bombs or bulldozers), halting billions in military assistance over concerns regarding humanitarian conditions or West Bank settlement expansion.”
The amount of damage that Abdul El-Sayed could do, should not be ignored, especially when he shares the very toxic viewpoints of a creed that sees Israel through the lens of oppressors and colonizers. So, what better way to punish them than to do it as an official representative of the U.S. government.
This is why it’s more important, than ever, to fully comprehend the weaponization of government, intended to be used by anti-Israel leaders who believe that they have a legitimate mandate to cause as much pain as possible to the country that has been doing the heavy lift of extinguishing the danger which threatens to come after every democracy!
Haley Stevens knew this, and it’s the reason she couldn’t, in good faith, throw her support behind a candidate whom she believed was unfairly singling out Israel as a villain.
Apparently, her personal feelings about Israel were so strong, that the woman, who just a few days ago, said she was all in for the Democrats, did a 180-degree turnaround and backed the Republican.
For her, it, undoubtedly, became a tricky balancing act where, on the one hand, as much as she wanted to pledge her allegiance to Democrats, she knew it would be at the price of her own beliefs and convictions. She is to be admired for not caving in to the pressure that she must have been under, to turn against her own conscience.
Needless to say, Democrats are furious with her now, calling her names such as “petty, selfish and unhinged.” Her support for Israel earned her the title of betrayer for breaking with her party.
Her independent actions to be true to herself, will definitely cost her, because when you’re part of a cult, you’re not permitted to think for yourself, and, sadly, that’s what the party has become.
Pennsylvania Senator, John Fetterman is all too familiar with the harsh criticism Stevens is getting. His own strong stand for the Jewish state has caused some in his party to suggest that he is not in his right mind, blaming his past health issues for his affection for Israel.
Little by little, Democrats are learning that they can no longer have their independent positions and leanings, lest they anger the new thought leaders of their party.
If they dare to do so, they could end up just like Stevens. But it’s not just politicians who bear that burden, because a Democratic Socialist takeover, together with their partners in crime, the Woke Socialists, will result in the silencing of anyone who doesn’t share their warped viewpoint, and after the treatment Stevens is getting, who will have the courage to follow her path?
The fear of intimidation is not to be trivialized, especially after having worked hard to make a name for yourself. The prospect of being crushed and smeared will make everyone think twice.
History has shown us that oppressive regimes are capable of just about anything. Their goal of getting total compliance is stopped by nothing. And that will surely be manifested in a win for the likes of Abdul El-Sayed who, even before getting elected, has shown a very angry and intimidating side of himself.
Anyone who thinks it can’t happen in the land of the free and the home of the brave is making the fatal mistake of underestimating the power of this particular demon, which has attached itself to those who have a lust to control others.
That’s something that should frighten every American who enters the voting booth!
