Israel cannot afford another false peace

At the beginning of the week, it looked like Israel was back at war with Iran.

Actually, even though there was a peace deal, the war never stops because terror never stops.

Iran started firing ballistic missiles at Israel because Israel is dealing with Iran's proxies in Lebanon.

I never believed in the peace deal. I knew it was only a matter of time before we ended up back at war again because the head of the snake wasn't cut off.

The first round of bombings and the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz have wounded the snake, but the snake is not dead.

I think Israel's goal has to be regime change. It is what the wonderful people of Iran are calling for.

We can't keep messing around with peace deal after peace deal only for it to collapse five minutes later. The head of the snake needs to be cut off for there to be any sense of lasting peace. So Israel needs to get the job done. Don't listen to the world. They will criticize Israel for just existing, so ignore them and get the job done. Kill the snake to bring security to Israel, and kill the snake to set the Iranian people free.

This latest round of rockets could be God at the center. It could be God on the move, changing things geographically and bringing judgment on a nation.

Certainly, Iran's leadership deserves a hand of discipline.

But is God putting a hook in the mouth of the Iranian leadership, leading them out to war because of the hardness of their hearts and leading them out to destruction?

They've stopped firing from Iran for now, but I don't believe that is the end of the chapter or the story.

He did it with Pharaoh in the book of Exodus.

Pharaoh hardened his heart by refusing Moses' request from God. He constantly hardened his own heart. Then, after many attempts, God hardened his heart, which led to his destruction.

Is God doing the same today with Iran?

In the story of Esther, God used the gallows that Haman built for the Jewish people on Haman himself. Haman's hatred of the Jews led to his own destruction.

The Iranian people have endured 47 years of the Iranian Islamic regime, which has been brutal and shown no mercy. Perhaps now it is God's time to bring vengeance and judgment on this wicked regime.

Israel pays the price to bring freedom for the Iranian people.

I felt sorry for the students who had to go back to remote learning. They had just been able to meet up with their friends again after the last rocket attacks, and now it is back to remote learning again.

Thankfully, restrictions are lifted for now, but I still think confrontation with Iran is inevitable.

It's graduation season. Kids have been dreaming of their graduation for years, but if war breaks out again, the Home Front Command will put restrictions in place again, and sadly this won't be allowed.

Israel will also pay the price with many more sleepless nights. Planes will be cancelled. There will be no tourists. People's plans will be put on hold. It is a very uncertain time.

But just remember the goal. We don't hate the Iranian people; we are setting them free.

God, do Your thing at this time and deal with the enemy of Israel. Drag them out with a hook in their mouth so that we can have true peace, so that the Bible verse can be fulfilled.

Isaiah 2:4

"He shall judge between the nations,
And rebuke many people;
They shall beat their swords into plowshares,
And their spears into pruning hooks;
Nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
Neither shall they learn war anymore."

Peace is coming. The Prince of Peace is coming to sit on His throne. Amen.
