Is the media secretly rooting for Hamas?

Why would anyone do the bidding of cold-blooded, savage terrorists who are not above slaughtering their own people? As incomprehensible as it may sound, media outlets are clearly colluding with Hamas terrorists, using their platforms to take sides and fueling the fire against Israel, resulting in those flames igniting a global antisemitism.

Consider the case of the BBC which, just days ago, disseminated the personal story of a young Gazan woman in her late 20s, named Hanya. The title of the article is already meant to tug at the heartstrings, “I feel like I’ve been gaslit, like the life I had before the war was made up.”

Taking us through what she describes as an idyllic life, prior to October 7th, we learn that she was an English teacher with aspirations of studying for her Master’s Degree in the U.S. and hoping to obtain a scholarship to pay her way.

Now, she is forced to live with her parents and five siblings as the result of the closure of the school where she worked, leaving her purposeless. Counting herself lucky, that she has a roof over her head, even if it’s the fifth apartment since the war began, the article refers to the 90% estimate of displaced Gazans, a number provided by the U.N.

The rest of the article relates her fears of the loud booms, which wake her up at night, a result of the military actions of the IDF towards the “Islamist resistance movement,” the code name for Hamas. Absent from the article is the assignment of blame by Hanya’s own Hamas terrorist government for the shattered life she is now forced to live. Instead, we are told that, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry, (run by Hamas) 56,000 Gazans have been killed, the majority of whom are civilians.

Coincidentally, it wasn’t that long ago that U.S. White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt addressed the BBC claim: “Israeli tank kills 26,” “Israeli tank kills 21,” “Israeli gunfire kills 31,” and “Red Cross says 21 people were killed in an aid accident,” all for which evidence could not be provided.

Honest Reporting reiterates that “over the span of just two days, the BBC, along with several other outlets, reported two alleged massacres of Palestinian civilians at humanitarian aid sites in Gaza. Both of these stories are false and reflect a deeply broken journalistic process that prioritizes sensationalism over accuracy and gives greater weight to terrorist propaganda than to verified facts.”

It was revealed that Hamas tried to prevent the food distribution to crowds at the site.  When IDF shots were fired into the air to bring some order, aid distribution resumed, but no deaths or injuries were reported. The massacre story also came from anonymous sources.

Let’s not forget the vilifying statement made by UN aid chief Tom Fletcher who absurdly claimed that “14,000 babies would die in Gaza in 48 hours without aid,” a bogus assertion he later retracted. Then there’s the fabrication that “Gazans are being subjected to forced starvation by Israel,” lacking any corroborating evidence, but who needs it? The accusation stands.

The BBC is very good at publishing one side.  Why? Is it possible that they are secretly rooting for the terrorists, as incomprehensible as that may be?

Judge for yourself.  Here are some of the statements they put forth in just one BBC article:

  • German Chancellor Friedrich Merz declared he no longer understands Israel’s objectives.

  • Leaders of the UK, France and Canada called on the Israeli government to stop its military operations and immediately allow aid to enter Gaza

  • Fletcher called on the UN Security Council to act to prevent genocide in Gaza

These are only some of the outrageous lies attributed to Israel, which then becomes fodder for the rage and hatred of ignorant people who willingly accept what they report.

In a Tablet Magazine article entitled, “How the Gaza Ministry of Health Fakes Casualty Numbers,” writer Abraham Wyner says, “The casualties are not overwhelmingly women and children and the majority may be Hamas fighters.”

After checking the data, he noticed a lack of correlation, convincing him of skewed numbers. He says that “verified control data is not available.” In one instance, a death count contradicted the facts, as 26 men reported killed “came back to life.” Wyner contends that totals were arbitrarily provided by Hamas, “raising obvious red flags.”

Social media, such as TikTok, is another source of anti-Israel bias. It’s where terms and slogans such as “Occupiers,” “Zionism equals racism” and “From the river to the sea” are handily adopted by student protesters. Thin on facts, history and context, they become adept at regurgitating the slurs which then have a lethal effect as we’ve recently witnessed.

The Free Press (TFP) criticized CBS for “straying from basic journalistic principles” when it comes to reporting on Israel. One of CBS’s veteran journalists interviewed Ta-Nehisi Coates, whose book claimed that Israel stole Palestinian property. TFP reported that a subsequent CBS editorial meeting “raised the issue of the right of the State of Israel to exist.”

It is obvious that media outlets are colluding with a brutal enemy. Whether the motive is for more clicks or because they are sympathetic to the Palestinian cause or they hate Israel, it all comes out the same in the end.

They are responsible for swaying public opinion against Israel and, by ethnic extension, Jewish people worldwide.

Rather than reporting proven facts and credible eye-witness accounts to honestly and fairly educate the public, they shockingly choose to take the side of the killers, which completely disqualifies them as purveyors of truth. Unable to be trusted as impartial, they are committed to furthering a particular narrative.

This is shameful, not only because it besmirches their own occupation, but because it is a contributing factor to the persecution and even the recent murder of Jews, who have been painted as the real villains in a war that is being waged against civilized humanity. This wanton reversal of roles – depicting the victims as perpetrators of violence, reassigns blame to the Jewish state, consequently aiding and abetting savage terrorists. Hamas’ good fortune is that media outlets are corrupt enough to help them out.

But how many more Jewish deaths have to occur before they stop rooting for the enemy, acknowledging that they, too, have blood on their hands?
