Calling for the dismantling of Zionism

The Bible verse found in the prophetic book of Amos, asks an important question which, these days, may have more relevance than ever, “Can two walk together, unless they agree?” (3:3)
Although a formal Gaza peace agreement has been signed by President Trump, on behalf of the U.S., along with Qatar, Turkey and Egypt, what happens to their well-intentioned efforts when anti-Israel organizations, with massive numbers of supporters, are committed to undermining and undoing a process meant to put an end to conflict in the Middle East?
That is the conundrum we face as the ever-increasing camp of pro-Palestinian advocates openly express their primary objective of dismantling Zionism and eradicating the Jewish state of Israel.
One such group, Palestinian Youth Movement Montreal, posted the following on Instagram, “While a ceasefire has been a central demand of our movement, it only marks one phase of aggression: We remain committed to confronting and dismantling Zionism in all its forms.”
Strengthening that position was their New York chapter which contends that “The ceasefire was a respite for Gazans and the continuation of the ‘struggle’ to ensure ‘Zionism is never allowed to persist again.’”
Further echoed by three other groups, Jewish Voice for Peace, Jews for Justice and the Anti-Zionist Jewish Student Front, all of whom are represented on the campuses of Barnard College, Columbia University, University of Michigan, George Washington University, American University of San Francisco and DePaul University, “erasing Zionism from every crevice of Jewish life” is their greatest commitment.
To that end, they have said, “We will continue to fight for the abolition of Zionism, both in Palestine and in our Jewish communities.”
But make no mistake about it, the severing of Zionism from Israel and the Jewish people is merely a continuation of Hitler’s unrealized dream of the Final Solution. Anyone who doesn’t understand that, is completely unaware of the meaning of “Zionism.”
To fully comprehend its composition, one must be somewhat acquainted with the history of the Jewish people who, the moment they were exiled, became completely dependent upon the mercy and good will of various host countries who took them in but eventually ended up disenfranchising their rights, by treating them as second-class citizens. Frequently limited in what they could own, where they could study, work, worship and pretty much everything else, life became intolerable for them.
In many cases, they were persecuted, slaughtered or exiled – all of which was predicted throughout the Old Testament scriptures. Their only hope, to survive as a people, given the hatred and prejudice they endured throughout millennia, was also recorded right next to those passages of doom and gloom. That was the restoration of their ancestral homeland.
It was that ray of hope, for which they longed, knowing that the day they could finally return to the land of their forefathers, would be the day that they would no longer live in fear, haunted by those who sought to remove their presence.
Those promises began to take shape when visionaries such as Theodor Herzl, David Ben Gurion, Eliezer Ben Yehuda, Chaim Weizmann, Leo Pinsker, Max Nordau, Ze’ev Jabotinsky, Moses Hess and others forged the path towards establishing the modern-day State of Israel, a country which would be built on self-determination and the all-important safe refuge for every Jew.
Once that became a reality, the ability to fight for our survival, through the superior military forces we created, along with the divine help we received during each war, guaranteed the words, “Never Again,” even in the face of some setbacks, the most recent of which was October 7th.
Nonetheless, the people of Israel live on as independent and sovereign citizens within their own land, just as Almighty God said, and, if the truth be told, this is what is so irritating to those who are now vowing to dismantle Zionism. For them, it is an eternal reminder that others, who came before them, failed in their futile attempts to annihilate the Jewish people, no matter how hard they tried.
Consequently, the perpetuation of Zionism – the belief in the establishment and support of a Jewish homeland in the Land of Israel is, for our enemies, a nail in the coffin of Jewish eradication. Because if Jews are protected in their own country, able to build a strong defense system, then the aspiration of the final solution is dashed.
It is only when Jews are powerless, dependent upon others or enslaved that they can be allowed to exist, but not forever.
Zionism, invented by the Almighty, is the iron-clad promise that His protection will always remain with the people whom He chose! It is the secure and certain guarantee that He is in control and no one can usurp His plan or destiny for the land which He gave to only one people!
In short, try all you may, but no one can dismantle what God has ordained, and even the greatest efforts will be fruitless.
Sadly, until that is realized by antisemites, they will continue to do what they are committed to doing, but so will God! In fact, His efforts have not even yet gone into full throttle, because although 8 million Jews have returned to their homeland, there are still another 7 million or so, worldwide, who have yet to return to Zion!
When that happens, the world will know that the words spoken thousands of years ago, by the prophet Ezekiel, “For I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands and bring you into your own land,” (36:24) represent the culmination of the Zionist dream, birthed by God and deposited into the hearts of men who helped to actualize it.
Predictably, the enemies of Zion (Israel) will all come against us, in one last final attempt to wipe us out. But, at that point, they will no longer be fighting against us. They will be taking on the Almighty, Himself, per Zechariah 14.
It was Mosab Hasssan Yousef, Son of Hamas who said, “When you fight with Israel, you are fighting against the most powerful authority of the universe. His message is undeniable – the Jews will return, and anyone who comes against them comes against God.
The calls to dismantle Zionism will not succeed, because returning to the land of our forefathers is so much bigger than anything they can imagine. It is the plan of the Sovereign God, for His people, and the spoiler is… He can never be defeated!
