A light on a hill

I stand here now on the mountains of Israel, the front line in the battle for the survival of Western Civilization. Our struggle is your struggle.
It is from here in Jerusalem that the foundation stone of that which shaped the freedoms and health of Western society went forth to the nations of the world. Those words of the Prophets of Israel and its Jewish Messiah have gone forth now for two millennia, planting the seeds of wisdom throughout the planet.
During that same two thousand years, the Jewish people have been in harsh exile among those nations but, in our time, have returned, a phenomenon that now all may see by way of modern media, as predicted in those very scrolls of the Prophets.
"The people of the Book" have returned, causing no small stir and discomfort in the region, and the world, attempting to extinguish them and their Message. But in their returning the ancient cities are now rebuilt, the desolate land sown and bringing forth fruit once again, and that which was hidden away in darkness has been brought to light, including the 2000-year-old Hebrew scrolls of the Prophets long hidden away in dry caves by the Dead Sea, now to be seen by all in Jerusalem's Shrine of the Book.
But another clarion call has rung forth, a late-comer spawned in the desert sands of Arabia millennia after the Prophets of Israel, announcing a new deity brandishing a curved sword of death. By that sword and by great cunning, that deity has conquered nations throughout Asia and Africa, and now by that same cunning, has invaded the Western world with fear and trembling, its minarets changing the skylines of their cities, attempting to extinguish that light.
Western civilization has grown overweight and weary of those very constraints and boundaries that had brought them the prosperity they have long enjoyed. In so doing they are creating a vacuum, making easy prey for the predators of deception.
And as the Old God from Zion becomes unwelcome and driven out, so the vacuum created is filled with new gods and demons infecting now unstable and uncontrolled minds with discontent and hopelessness, spawning violence and chaos and disintegration across the land. What was once termed 'a light on a hill' is now seeing its light turning to darkness, its flame being extinguished in riots of rebellion and hate.
Can the tide yet be turned at this point? Will the Judge yet hear the cries of the few as they murder His spokesmen and prophets, or has the floodgate of judgement already been opened wide?

Here in Zion we yet blow the shofar of warning and repentance, calling out all who have ears to hear. And the light of the ancient Menorah that was dragged off in the destruction by the Roman legions two thousand years ago, has been rekindled before the eyes of all the nations.
And yet the arm of the Lord is still extended in mercy.
