Top US security official dampens expectations for quick Saudi-Israeli peace
A security deal between the United States and Saudi Arabia to include normalization with Israel will take more time, according to U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.
“No announcement on the progress of negotiations is expected soon," he told the media during a press briefing on Tuesday.
"I won't go into the details of negotiations with the Saudis and their desire for a civilian nuclear weapon, we'll leave that to diplomatic channels," Sullivan said.
"We still have a long way to go given all the elements of these discussions. So we don't expect any announcements soon on this," he added.
