A total of 16 Israelis were lightly wounded in a missile attack on central Israel around 5 pm, according to Magen David Adom.
Hezbollah took responsibility for the attack, claiming it used a barrage of "special" missiles, probably meaning a guided missile, to strike the IDF's satellite communications station in the Ela Valley. The site claimed to be a military installation, is actually a civilian site operated by the European company SES, according to the Times of Israel.
Footage circulating on social media showed an apparent impact near the nearby town of Beit Shemesh.
According to MDA, 14 people in good condition were treated in Ramle after an impact that also damaged a daycare center. Another impact in the Mateh Yehuda area, which also covers Beit Shemesh, wounded another two people. Police said that an impact there damaged unspecified infrastructure.
