10:41- Bahrain contains fire from Iranian strike on Muharraq fuel facility after 8 hours

After eight hours, Bahrain’s Civil Defence contained the fire at a Muharraq fuel storage facility caused by an Iranian strike.

The Ministry of Interior's announcement on X attributed the fire to “the Iranian aggression,” updating nearby residents that they can resume normal activities after major streets were closed and they had been instructed to stay indoors with windows and ventilation shut.

10:08 - 179 Israelis brought to hospitals in past 24 hours, 85 remain hospitalized since Operation Roaring Lion

In an update on Thursday morning, the Israeli Ministry of Health said that over the past 24 hours, 179 Israelis were evacuated to hospitals, of whom four are in moderate condition, 157 suffered minor injuries, and 18 were treated for anxiety.

Since the start of Operation Roaring Lion, 2,745 Israelis have been brought for medical care. Of those, 85 remain hospitalized, including 11 in serious condition, 10 in moderate condition, and 64 are in good condition.

9:42 - Saudi Arabia thwarts two Iranian drones amid multiple attempts on oil field

Two Iranian drones heading toward the Shaybah oil field in southeastern Saudi Arabia were intercepted and destroyed, the spokesperson for the Saudi Ministry of Defense said Thursday on X.

Several similar attempts had been detected in the past eight hours and reported by the Defense Ministry.

Sirens sounded across Judea and Samaria, the Tel Aviv area and the Jerusalem area in an Iranian ballistic missile launch that early reports claim was intercepted.

The IDF estimates that Hezbollah launched about 200 rockets and drones into Israeli territory yesterday.

About 80 of the launches did not cross into Israel.

06:55 - Several killed in an attack near displaced persons' tents in Beirut 

Lebanese media reported a strike on displaced persons tents on the beach of Ramle al-Bayda in Beirut earlier this morning.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, there were 8 dead and 31 wounded at the scene. Additionally, Lebanese media reported strikes in the Armon area of Mount Lebanon, southeast of Beirut during the night .

According to the Ministry of Health, three people were killed and a child was injured in the attacks.

05:55 - US official says Baghdad embassy airport support center hit in Iranian proxy drone strike

The U.S. Embassy operations center at Baghdad’s airport was hit by a drone launched by Iraq-based Iranian proxies, a State Department official reported to the Associated Press.

An official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the AP that the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center “was targeted by Iran-backed terrorist militias overnight.” The actual U.S. Embassy compound in Baghdad was not struck in the attack.

05:40 - Container ship attacked near Dubai

A container ship off Dubai in the Persian Gulf came under attack Thursday, sparking a small fire, the British military said.

The British military’s United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations center said the attack happened just before dawn. It said an “unknown projectile” hit the vessel as it was some 65 kilometers (40 miles) off the coast of Dubai’s Jebel Ali port.

It added that the crew of the vessel were safe.

05:05 - IEA agrees to record release of oil reserves to combat rising prices

The International Energy Agency agreed Wednesday to release the largest volume of emergency oil reserves in its history, the Associated Press reports.

The Paris-based organization said it will make 400 million barrels of oil available from its members’ emergency reserves. That’s more than twice the 182.7 million barrels released in 2022 by the IEA’s 32 member countries in response to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

04:01 - Large fire reported near Bahrain International Airport

A large fire was reported in Bahrain’s capital, near the island kingdom’s international airport early Thursday following an Iranian attack.

Authorities urged people in the surrounding area to close their windows due to the fumes.

The fire began in Bahrain’s Muharraq Island, which is home to Bahrain International Airport after an Iranian attack on oil tanks in the area.

Bahrain’s Interior Ministry put out an alert for people in surrounding neighborhoods “to remain in their homes, close windows and ventilation openings, as a precautionary measure against possible exposure to smoke from the ongoing fire being combated.”

Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior said Iranian-linked attacks targeted fuel tanks at a facility in Muharraq Governorate, northeast of the country’s capital, Manama.

“Authorities are taking the required procedures,” the ministry said.
