Israel to compete in first semi-final of Eurovision 2026 in Vienna
Israel will compete in the second half of the first semi-final at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna, following a draw held Monday evening by the European Broadcasting Union.
Competing alongside Israel in the first semi-final are Georgia, Portugal, Croatia, Sweden, Finland, Moldova, Greece, Montenegro, Estonia, San Marino, Poland, Belgium, Lithuania, and Serbia. The second semi-final will feature Armenia, Romania, Switzerland, Azerbaijan, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Albania, Cyprus, Norway, Malta, Australia, Ukraine, and Latvia.
Another draw determined the voting order of the “Big 4” and of the host country, which are automatically qualified to compete in the Grand Final. Representatives from Germany and Italy will vote in the first semi-final, while the United Kingdom, France, and Austria will vote in the second semi-final.
The first semi-final is scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, with the second semi-final on Thursday, May 14. The Grand Final will be held on Saturday, May 16.
Israel’s representative for the upcoming contest will be revealed in the finale of “The Next Star for Eurovision” to air on Keshet 12 on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
