Israel headed to new elections already?
Israeli media is reporting that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is stalling on passing the 2020 budget which is required in order to avoid new elections.
This could lead to elections in November, according to Haaretz which cited sources who have spoken to the prime minister.
Sources said that the prime minister was planning to use the political chaos, with daily protests and closures due to the coronavirus, to justify another election in 2020. Israelis went to the polls three times in one year with the most recent election held on March 2.
