Israel to deport 14 activists arrested during olive harvest in Judea and Samaria
Israeli police say 14 foreign nationals are expected to be deported after being arrested alongside three Palestinians on suspicion of disturbing public order in the central West Bank.
According to the police, questioning revealed that the foreigners intended to launch what they described as “anti-Israel media campaigns,” and that some had expressed support for the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement. The investigation into the three Palestinians is still ongoing.
The Palestinian activist group Faz3a, reportedly said Israeli forces detained 17 people on Friday while they were participating in an olive harvest in the village of Kafr Ni’ma, near Ramallah.
The group identified those detained as 12 foreign volunteers, two foreign journalists, two Palestinian landowners and one Palestinian activist affiliated with Faz3a.
