IDF responds to apparent artillery fire from Syria
A number of grenade launches from Syria into Israeli territory were identified on Tuesday night.
Some of the grenades crossed into Israeli territory and reportedly fell in unpopulated areas.
IDF soldiers responded with artillery and mortar shells toward the origin of the launches in Syria.
Israel is on high alert at its northern border while it attacks Hamas sites in the Gaza Strip.
Defense leaders are concerned about the Hezbollah terror group joining the fight, causing a multi-front war.
