Danon marks 109th Balfour anniversary: ‘Israel is our homeland’

Marking 109 years since the Balfour Declaration, Israel’s Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon reaffirmed the connection between the 1917 document and the Jewish people's historical connection to the land of Israel.

In a post on X Monday, Danon called the British declaration a “historic milestone” in the realization of the Zionist vision.

"The Balfour Declaration recognized a historical right dating back thousands of years: the Jewish people are not guests in their own land," he said. "Israel is our homeland, and it will remain our home forever."
