Australia to resume referring to West Bank and East Jerusalem as 'Occupied Palestinian Territories'
The Australian government will resume using the term 'Occupied Palestinian Territories' when referring to the West Bank and East Jerusalem, The Guardian reported on Tuesday.
The move is intended as a step to strengthen the Labor government's objections to the "illegal" Israeli Jewish settlement policy.
At an upcoming Labor national conference, some delegates are expected to push for an even stronger position and to recognize Palestinian statehood, the report added.
