There’s something universal about the first week of school—new backpacks, new teachers, old friends and the return to a familiar routine.
But for children across Israel, a normal school year cannot always be taken for granted.
After COVID, years of war, evacuations, sirens and uncertainty, some children spent months away from their schools and communities. This year, simply returning to the classroom can feel like a gift.
In this week’s Prayer Points, we pray for Israel’s children—for protection, peace and stability; for teachers and parents shaping the next generation; and most importantly, that these children would come to know the God of Israel.
