Uruguay announces new diplomatic office in Jerusalem
Uruguay will open a new diplomatic office tasked with advancing cooperation between the countries, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen announced on Wednesday. The office will be located in the nation's capital Jerusalem.
The statement was made after Cohen met with Uruguayan President Pou and Foreign Minister Francisco Bustillo, on the sidelines of the inauguration event for Paraguay’s newly-elected president Santiago Peña, in Paraguay's capital Asunción.
On Wednesday, Paraguay announced it will move its embassy back to Jerusalem.
