Team Israel knocked out of World Baseball Classic with second 10-0 loss in a row
The Israeli team playing in the World Baseball Classic was eliminated last night in a 10-0 loss to the Dominican Republic.
The team’s crushing defeat came just one day after it had a similar 10-0 loss to Puerto Rico, which became the first ‘perfect game’ in the history of the World Baseball Classic.
With Tuesday night’s loss, Israel’s team exits the tournament.
It will still play a game against undefeated Venezuela later today. If it wins that game, the Israeli team has a chance of appearing in the next tournament, despite being eliminated.
