Suspected Palestinian arson as large fire breaks out overnight in Gush Etzion
A fire broke out overnight in a grove near Gva'ot in the West Bank's Gush Etzion settlement bloc.
Eight fire crews worked for hours to bring the fire under control and prevent it from reaching homes.
The fire began almost simultaneously in two locations far apart from each other.
Judea Regional Fire and Rescue commander, Lt. Tafsar Erez, said there is evidence that supports the theory of arson for nationalistic purposes.
There have been previous arson incidents carried out by Palestinians in the area.
