Palestinian media report at least 1 Hamas fighter killed in explosion at ‘resistance site’
Following a Twitter post by a Palestinian journalist in Gaza this morning, which announced the alleged deaths of two Hamas members in an accidental explosion, Palestinian media confirmed that only one died, with the other remaining in critical condition.
Local Hebrew news outlets referred to the incident as a “workplace accident," as the explosion took place at a site owned by a Hamas’ military wing, the al-Qassam Brigades.
Hamas later announced the death of Ashraf Abdel Karim Hussein, who was killed in the explosion.
