Israeli Arab indicted for joining ISIS, trying to recruit members
A 20-year-old resident of the Bedouin city of Rahat in southern Israel, was indicted on Friday for joining the terror group ISIS and attempting to recruit others into the organization.
Hamza Abu Za’ila as initially arrested by Israel's Shin Bet security agency in July.
He allegedly became convinced to join the group and swore allegiance to its leader after watching ISIS propaganda material online.
Last year, he began to communicate with ISIS members outside of Israel and to publish videos and pictures praising ISIS over social media networks.
