Israel announces increased gas exports to Egypt
Israel will increase its gas exports from the Tamar gas field to Egypt, Energy Minister Israel Katz announced on Wednesday.
“The step will increase the state's revenues and strengthen the political relationship between Israel and Egypt,” Katz said.
He added that the decision to approve the new exports was made only after ensuring that supplies for Israel’s domestic use were guaranteed.
