IDF soldier sustains light injuries in border incident involving stolen car
An IDF soldier was lightly injured in an incident early Friday morning involving a Palestinian man who was driving a stolen car at a border crossing near Ramallah in the West Bank.
While soldiers inspected the car at the Rantis border, the Palestinian suspect attacked one of the soldiers and attempted to take his weapon.
Another soldier at the scene shot the suspect, neutralizing him.
The soldier who was attacked suffered light injuries and was treated on the scene before being taken to a hospital for further care.
The IDF is currently investigating the incident, indicating the attack could be criminal in nature, as opposed to an attempted terror attack.
