First direct flights between Israel and Sri Lanka to begin in October
Israeli airline Arkia will begin a new Tel Aviv to Colombo route in October, directly linking Israel and the Sri Lankan capital directly for the first time.
The flight will take roughly six hours and 15 minutes.
Israeli airlines have recently received permission to fly over Saudi Arabian air space, which reduces flight times, especially to Asian destinations that have often required stopovers until now.
