Elbit Systems lands $370 million US Customs and Border Protection contracts

Elbit Systems announced this week that its U.S. subsidiary, Elbit Systems of America, LLC, has secured contracts worth more than $370 million from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The orders cover several types of equipment and are scheduled for delivery by May 2029.

Elbit President and CEO Bezhalel Machlis said, "These new awards demonstrate Elbit Systems of America’s continued contribution to enhancing the security and defense capabilities of the United States."

Elbit Systems is one of Israel’s leading defense companies, alongside Israel Aerospace Industries and Rafael. The company develops and supplies a broad range of defense and homeland security systems, including solutions for land, air, naval, intelligence and surveillance applications. Elbit has supplied equipment to U.S. military and law enforcement agencies for decades.

The contracts come as border security remains a major focus of the Trump administration’s second term, with efforts aimed at strengthening control over the movement of people, cargo and contraband across U.S. borders with Canada and Mexico, as well as along the Gulf of Mexico coastline.

The latest CBP contracts follow a $212 million order announced in May by the U.S. Army for Elbit’s Enhanced Night Vision Goggle – Binocular (ENVG-B) systems.

Elbit Systems of America provides mission-critical reconnaissance, surveillance and electronic systems to government agencies across land, naval, aviation and aerospace domains, along with lifecycle support, maintenance and procurement services.

The company also supplies defense technologies to other U.S. allies, including the United Kingdom, where its local subsidiary supports the British armed forces with a range of advanced systems and services.

At the Farnborough International Air Show in England this week, Elbit Systems UK is showcasing its defense technologies, including synthetic training systems, uncrewed aerial systems such as Thor and 17Magni-X, and electronic warfare solutions developed for the British Army and Royal Navy. The company employs more than 650 people across 15 sites in the UK and provides a range of defense solutions to the British armed forces.
