Drone smuggling attempt into Gaza stopped by Israeli security forces
An attempt to smuggle 10 reconnaissance drones into the Gaza Strip was thwarted by Israeli security forces on Wednesday.
The drones were concealed in a bag found inside a minibus attempting to enter Gaza at the Erez border crossing. During the inspection of the vehicle, a specially trained dog of the K9 unit detected the suspicious package.
The drones are suspected to have been intended for reconnaissance purposes by terrorist groups operating within the Gaza Strip.
