COVID infections near 10,000 for second day in a row
The number of new positive COVID-19 cases in Israel was 9,891 on Tuesday, a slight increase from the 9,831 cases reported two days ago.
There are currently 77,956 active cases in Israel. The death toll is at 6,880 since the beginning of the pandemic and the current number of serious cases was unchanged at 692.
The Israeli Health Ministry has expanded the eligibility for anyone over 30 years old to receive the third booster shot.
