Mediterranean earthquake felt throughout Israel
Israelis in the center of the country reported feeling the tremors of an earthquake that measured at 5.9 and was centered between Crete and Karpathos, Greece in the Mediterranean Sea.
According to reports on the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), tremors were felt as far away as Cairo, Cyprus and Turkey.
This is the third earthquake in or near Crete in the past few weeks. An undersea earthquake jolted the Greek island one week ago and another killed a man, damaging hundreds of buildings two weeks before that.
