Yemeni Houthis launch missile attack at Saudi-backed gov't troops, kill seven
Four soldiers and three civilians were killed in a combined missile and drone attack by the Houthi terrorists in Yemen, the military of the Saudi-backed and internationally recognized government stated.
The attack hit civilian infrastructure and armed forces in the Red Sea port city of Mocha, the statement said, adding that 30 other people were injured. In addition, air defenses intercepted eleven drones.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree stated that the strikes targeted troop concentrations and weapons depots of the Saudi military, though the transport ministry noted that “serious damage” was caused to the port’s infrastructure.
Saree also claimed responsibility for a fire at a Saudi oil refinery earlier Sunday, saying that the Houthis “succeeded in targeting the Aramco refinery in Jizan with a drone, and the strike was precise”.
