Wizz Air CEO: 'We will add 4,000 jobs in Israel within three years'

Transportation Minister Miri Regev met Thursday with Wizz Air CEO József Váradi amid ongoing talks to establish an operational base for the airline at Ben-Gurion Airport.

Váradi told the minister that the company plans to create 4,000 jobs in Israel over the next three years, including about 500 direct hires.

He presented a plan for Wizz Air to invest roughly $1 billion in the Israeli market and station ten new aircraft in the country. The airline is also seeking to add 50 takeoff routes to the 20 already operating.
