'We are here, we are not going anywhere' - US Sec of State Blinken arrives in Israel
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken met at the Kirya IDF headquarters in Tel Aviv on Thursday.
Upon arriving in Israel, Blinken told Netanyahu, “We are here; we are not going anywhere.”
Blinken also wrote on X: “I’m in Israel today to make one thing clear: The United States stands with Israel and its people, and we will always stand — resolutely — against terrorism.”
Netanyahu and Blinken held an expanded meeting with high-ranking Israeli officials, including Foreign Minister Eli Cohen and Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer. They are scheduled to meet privately and then issue statements to the media.
