Undercover agent leads to arrest of 60 weapons-trafficking suspects across Israel
An undercover agent operated by the Israel Police led to the arrest of 60 suspects across the country on weapons-trafficking charges. Police forces carried out widespread raids this morning, detaining suspects from both the Jewish and Arab sectors.
The agent — a civilian who assumed a criminal identity — worked undercover for about a year, beginning in December 2024. During that time, he conducted numerous incriminating weapons and drug deals and gathered significant evidence related to serious violent offenses, including kidnapping and multiple shooting incidents.
Dozens of suspects were implicated through the operation, including several who were operating from inside prisons.
