Two US soldiers and American civilian killed in Syria clash
Two U.S. soldiers and an American civilian were killed in an encounter with an ISIS terrorist in Syria, with three additional U.S. soldiers wounded.
Reuters reported that the attacker was a member of the general security forces of the al-Sharaa regime. The terrorist attacked a joint American-Syrian patrol and was subsequently killed.
The American soldiers were part of a U.S. force numbering several hundred troops that has remained in Syria since the start of the campaign against ISIS.
Following the unusual attack, reports in Syria described heightened U.S. military activity in the Palmyra area, including movements of armored vehicles and aerial sorties.
