Two teenagers indicted for carrying out paid missions for Iranian agent
Israeli prosecutors have filed an indictment against two teenagers, aged 14 and 16, accused of carrying out paid assignments for an agent working on behalf of Iran.
One of the teenagers contacted the agent through a Telegram job-search group and later recruited his friend. The two allegedly photographed locations in Israel, provided information about entrances and security guards at shopping malls in Tel Aviv and Herzliya, and sprayed graffiti in Kiryat Motzkin.
According to the indictment, they continued working for the agent and receiving cryptocurrency payments even after learning of his ties to Iran. One of the minors also allegedly posed as a soldier in the IDF’s Unit 8200 in an attempt to receive additional assignments.
