Two suspects arrested for spitting at church in Jerusalem
The Israeli police arrested two suspects for spitting at a church in the Old City of Jerusalem on Thursday morning, according to Israel’s Channel 12 news.
The five suspects who were detained on the same charges yesterday were conditionally released the same day.
Jerusalem Police Commander Doron Turgeman had promised to step up efforts to curb the phenomenon of ultra-Orthodox Jews spitting at Christians and churches following a video of one such incident that drew widespread condemnation this week.
