Two IDF soldiers killed in southern Lebanon since start of week
Since the start of the week, the IDF has announced the deaths of two soldiers who fell in combat in southern Lebanon. According to Israeli media reports, both were killed in drone strikes.
Staff Sgt. Adam Tzarfati, 20, from central Israel, was killed in an incident that also left one soldier seriously wounded and two others lightly injured, the IDF said on Monday. His death marked the 14th Israeli military fatality since the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon took effect.
The announcement came a day after the IDF revealed the death of Staff Sgt. Michael Tyukin, 21, who was killed in a separate incident in which four other soldiers sustained light injuries. Israeli media noted that friends of Tyukin called on the public to attend his funeral, as he was an only child from Ukraine with no family but his mother and grandfather in the country.
