Two IDF soldiers killed in southern Lebanon, one dies of wounds sustained in combat
The IDF announced on Saturday the deaths of Capt. Shahar Gamla and Sgt. Ehud Yaari in southern Lebanon.
Gamla, an officer in the elite Egoz Unit, was wounded during fighting in southern Lebanon over the weekend and later died of his injuries at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa. His funeral is scheduled to take place Sunday in the community of Keshet and, at the family's request, will be closed to the media.
The military also announced the death of Sgt. Ehud Yaari, though further details regarding the circumstances of his death were not immediately released.
