Trump unsure whether Netanyahu will run again: 'That’s an open question'
U.S. President Donald Trump said he is uncertain whether Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will seek another term in Israel’s next election.
Speaking to ABC News correspondent Jonathan Karl, Trump said, “That’s an open question,” while praising Netanyahu’s record and adding that the Israeli leader “has had an amazing career.”
The remarks came amid escalating tensions between Washington and Tehran following renewed U.S. strikes on Iranian targets.
Separately, Trump and Netanyahu held a phone conversation as the regional crisis continued to unfold.
