Trump shelved major Iran strike over interceptor shortage concerns - report
President Donald Trump decided against a large-scale military strike on Iran over concerns it would deplete U.S. interceptor missile stockpiles, according to a report by The New York Times.
The report says the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff warned during high-level discussions that a broad operation against Iran would significantly reduce the supply of Patriot interceptor missiles, leaving U.S. bases in the Gulf and Jordan inadequately protected.
