Trump claims ships moving through Strait of Hormuz

Amid uncertainty over whether vessels would be able to transit the Hormuz Strait only after the signing of the U.S.-Iran agreement scheduled for Friday, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed on Monday that traffic was already on the move.

“Ships are starting to move, many loaded up with Oil, out of the Strait of Hormuz,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, referring to the “Southern ‘Highway,’” as “totally safe” and “secure.”

What remains to be seen is whether Israel’s freedom of action against Hezbollah in Lebanon will be affected by the agreement.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese government warned civilians not to attempt to return to their homes until a final agreement is reached between Israel and Lebanon.
