Trump announces end of Iran war, IRGC: ‘fingers on trigger’

U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement on Thursday that a deal had been reached with Iran was rejected by Tehran, marking the latest contradiction between the two sides over the status of negotiations.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry said it “categorically rejects” Trump’s claim, while the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned on Friday that it has its “fingers on the trigger” to respond to any “threat, aggression, or miscalculation by the enemy.”

“We ended the war with Iran today, and they have agreed never to have a nuclear weapon, something that we insisted on,” Trump said during a tele-rally for a Georgia candidate.

In an apparent rebuttal, regime-affiliated Tasnim News reposted CNN coverage noting that Trump's recent prediction of a breakthrough with Iran was his 39th such claim.
