Terror attack deaths in Judea and Samaria drop sharply in 2025
Terror attacks in Judea and Samaria declined sharply in 2025, with 20 people killed during the year, compared with 34 fatalities in 2024 and 41 in 2023.
According to security data, 60 attacks were recorded in 2025, down from about 250 the previous year. Most of the attacks involved stabbings and ramming assaults, with firearms used in only a minority of cases.
Security officials attribute the drop largely to the IDF’s takeover of refugee camps in northern Samaria and the dismantling of terror battalions there. While around 200 wanted militants operated in the camps a year ago, only several dozen remain today. Another key factor cited is the IDF’s full freedom of operation across the Judea and Samaria Division area.
Despite the decline, officials warn the arena remains highly volatile, with a continued risk of escalation.
