Skirmishes on Lebanese border continue, Israel strikes Hezbollah targets in response
The Israeli Air Force again struck targets belonging to the Hezbollah terror organization in Lebanon, after it carried out multiple attacks against Israel on Saturday.
Throughout the day, rocket and grenade barrages were fired from Lebanon at northern Israeli communities including Margaliot, Misgav Am, the Bedouin town of Arab el-Aramsha and Zar’it. The IDF responded with airstrikes and artillery fire.
The IDF also intercepted a surface-to-air missile fired from Lebanon at an IDF aircraft, before striking the area the missile originated from. The missile interception caused a loud explosion that was reportedly heard throughout northern Israel, according to the Jerusalem Post.
An IDF drone thwarted an attempt by a terrorist squad to launch anti-tank missiles from Lebanon into Israel.
